Several years ago I integrated Dr. Antonio Nanci’s EM laboratory and was responsible for specialized electron microscopy applications.

Over the years, my role has been to adapt novel approaches and establish numerous innovative applications to the studies of calcified tissues and biomaterials. Among these; high resolution applications and analysis, Primary cell cultures of bone and the enamel organ, and preparation of “home made” markers (colloidal gold conjugates).

I also take an active role in training graduate students and post-doctoral fellows, to help them achieve their objective of becoming independent investigators.
